Thanks, Dewey!
I wrote a lengthy response with several links, but it got lost in cyberspace. I'll post a response later.
Here's a link to my American Casino Guide Podcast with Steve Bourie:

Fantastic!! You reduced complicated information to something I can easily understand and tossed in meaningful numbers, insightful commentary and a great lobby for full pay to be reinstalled in strip casinos. I have read reviews of some of these games, but not felt I understood them as clearly as I do now.
These are very exciting new developments since unlike many newer innovations, these new games really add to the ER instead of tricking us out of more money on the math and just entertaining us. I am hoping we can find some of the new machines with full pay base pay tables.
I'll be looking to play the new Texas Hold em. Neuron technology? Amazing! In my lifetime will I see games which generate 3D images of opponents in flashpoints in the air?
We had a meet up with Steve last week. He bought us lunch here in Florida near where he lives. It was fun to meet him. Great down to earth guy. Hearing the two of you together was great fun as well as informational.
I may have to drift back from my live poker play to video poker again with all these new fun toys.
And the new book has the state of the art 10/7 DB strategy with Dean Zamzow's input? Great!
One thing I thought about when you were discussing the loss of cash back and the no-points-earned full pay machines cropping up was the bank at Laughlin Edgewater. While it was true that virtually no points were earned on those full pay there, the cash flow was reflected in host Janella's evaluation of play for the comps she was able to give. This may be true in other venues as well, so it is good to ask. Host comps were worth more to me in Laughlin than anything I might have bought with points. |
